Your order will be shipped within 1-2 business days.

Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation. If the delivery address is in a country that provides tracking, you’ll also receive a tracking number, so you can monitor your shipment.

The exact arrival time depends on your location. Here’s an indication:

Europe: 1-5 business days
Australia: 6-12 business days
Brazil: 9-25 business days
Canada: 4-9 business days
US: 4-9 business days
ROW: 5-25 business days

Most of the countries can expect a slight delay in deliveries due to COVID19, especially countries outside the EU. Check our FAQ for more information on this particular subject.

All countries below get a tracking number per email when their orders are shipped:

Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, New-Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South-Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.

If your country is not on this list, you will not receive a tracking number because our shipping partner (PostNL) cannot provide tracking in countries that are not on this list.

Ordering from a country that’s not on this list is absolutely possible, but it’s at your own risk. STAD is not responsible for untrackable parcels that get lost.

All countries below get a tracking number per email when their orders are shipped:

Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, New-Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South-Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.

If your country isn’t in the list below, you’ll not receive a tracking number because our shipping-partner (PostNL) cannot provide tracking numbers in countries that are not on this list.

Is your country on the list? Please follow these steps:
Make sure it has been 2 business days since you’ve placed your order, as we ship within 2 business days (CEST).
Once the order is shipped, our system automatically sends a tracking number to the email address you’ve given us. Please log-in to stadwear.com to check if this email address is correct. If so, please check you spambox.

Still not there? Then contact support@stadwear.com.

Please check your tracking number again to see if there’s an update. The postman might just be on his way! Haven’t received a tracking number? Please check our FAQ on this particular question.

Know that it can take several days before you receive an update on the delivery date. Especially if your delivery address is outside Europe, it can take some time. Your order could still be sorted or in transit. It could also be that your order is held at customs, which unfortunately can take several days up to weeks. We can’t do anything about this, except keep our fingers crossed and hope it’s cleared soon!

If the tracking information states your order has been delivered when in reality it hasn’t, then contact the postal company that was supposed to deliver your parcel.

If all of this doesn’t work, contact support@stadwear.com, so we can see what we can do.

We try to ship as responsibly as possible.

STAD uses shipping bags made of at least 50% recycled plastic, that are 100% biodegradable. Meaning that they will safely dissolve when not recycled. We strongly recommend recycling though, at any time!

We’ve considered shipping plastic-free, but we couldn’t find a solution that would guarantee your order to arrive safe, undamaged and dry, or to be shipped in a compact way.

If we would only ship nationally, a FCS cardboard box might suffice. But since we ship worldwide, our parcels have a tough time being handled by multiple people, going from center to truck to plane to truck to door, possibly being thrown under a stack of heavy parcels or being left at your doorstep in the rain… You get the idea.

When it comes to responsible packaging, it’s all about the right balance between protection and using responsible materials. We choose a protective option, to make sure your order arrives safe and to reduce the amount of returns, as returns have a big environmental impact. Next to protective, our shipping bags are compact, as they are super small and air can be pressed out. Boxes take up a lot of space, so more transport devices are needed to ship them, which is very environmentally unfriendly due to excess CO2 emission.

If you have any suggestions for sustainable, safe and compact shipping options, let us know at hello@stadwear.com.

Most of the countries can expect a slight delay in deliveries compared to normal delivery times, especially countries outside the EU.

Returns

Of course! You can return your order within 30 days after receiving your order. We don’t offer exchanges because of limited stock. If you want to exchange, please place a new order.

To be eligible for a return, your order needs to comply with the return conditions.

Return conditions:

- Your order is returned within 30 days
- The tag is attached to the neck label and is intact
- The products are unused, unwashed, unaltered and stain-free

We can’t accept products with, for example, (make-up) stains, marks or other features that indicate the product has been used. This includes perfume or body odor as well. All products are individually checked before shipping.

Consider your return

We would like to ask you to consider your return, as STAD is a sustainable brand. The extra CO2 emission caused by transportation back to our HQ has a big  environmental impact and with returns also comes a waste of packaging. Perhaps you have a friend you could re-sell to or have a clothing-swap coming up? Thank you for considering other options, it’s much appreciated!

Please consider returning your order in the original packaging.

- Send a return request to returns@stadwear.com and you'll receive our return form
- Print and fill out the return form. If you don’t have a printer you or don’t want to print, you can write the required information on a piece of paper
- Cut off the address section and paste on the outside of package
- Drop off at your local postal office and pay the required fee

Customers are responsible for the shipping-costs for returning orders to STAD, including any international shipping fees or customs payments. We will only refund return shipping-costs if the products you’ve received were incorrect or damaged at arrival.

We recommend using trackable shipping and keep your proof of postage. If you are shipping orders with high value, you might consider purchasing shipping insurance. STAD is not responsible for parcels that get lost on the way to our office. We can’t make a refund if we’ve haven’t received your order.

If you are returning from outside Europe: Mark your package as a return and set the value to zero, as we do not pay custom fees.

Once your return is received and approved, we will credit the amount to your original method of payment. This takes up to 10 business days depending on your bank.

You will receive a refund including the shipping-costs you’ve paid when ordering.

You are responsible for the shipping-costs for returning your item to STAD, including any international shipping fees or customs payments. This is why you should mark your package as a return when sending back to STAD, when returning from outside Europe.

We will only refund return shipping-costs if the products you’ve received were incorrect or damaged at arrival.

We don’t. Unless the product is incorrect or damaged, the costs for shipping back to STAD are for the consumer.

We’ll fix it asap! Please contact returns@stadwear.com immediately. Please include a photo of the item and we will advise you on how to proceed.

Please check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company or your bank, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at returns@stadwear.com so we can help you out.

Sustainability

Our clothing is made of 100% organic cotton and is GOTS-certified and Oeko-Tex-certified.

Our designs are printed with GOTS-approved water-based ink, which does not contain any of the toxic chemicals plastic-based ink does.

The 5 factories where our clothing is made are audited by the Fair Wear Foundation, a non-profit organization that works on improving workers’ conditions in the textile industry.

We responsibly using shipping bags from at least 50% recycled plastic that are 100% biodegradable. For every order placed we plant a tree.

We thought everything through and we are doing what we can to make STAD a sustainable brand. We are aware of the fact that there are many materials and people involved in the manufacturing process and nothing will ever be 100% secure. But with all elements certified, we believe we’re doing pretty good! We continuously keep educating ourselves, keep reading reports and keep looking for the best sustainable options out there.

All of this is further explained below. Any suggestions on how to improve? Email us at hello@stadwear.com.

Organic cotton is a natural, GMO-free fibre that uses less water than standard cotton. Its production does not involve the use of chemicals and encourages rotation of crops to keep soil healthier, more fertile and maintain humidity. Waste from the cotton ginning process is also recycled for the animal feed industry.

GOTS is the Global Organic Textile Standard label. This is the strictest certification for textiles made from organic fibres. GOTS tracks the entire chain of production from farm to factory. GOTS also certifies Textile Auxiliaries and Colourants (ink).

OEKO-TEX is a worldwide association of independent institutes for product safety and sustainable production in the textile industry.

Our t-shirts are STANDARD 100 certified by OEKO-TEX®. STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It means every component of the certified article, i.e. every thread, button and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless in human ecological terms.

FWF or Fair Wear Foundation is an international non-profit organization that works on improving workers’ conditions in the textile industry. FWF works with garment brands, factories, trade unions, NGOs and governments to improve working conditions for garment workers in 11 production countries across Asia, Europe and Africa.

The pillars of the FWF are legal contracts, freedom of association, no child labor, no discrimination, safe conditions, freely chosen employment, reasonable hours and a living wage.

For more information visit fairwear.org.

STAD clothing is made in 5 factories in Bangladesh. All 5 factories are monitored by the FWF (Fair Wear Foundation, a non-profit organisation that works on improving workers’ conditions in the textile industry) and are monitored daily by a local team in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Factory management is responsible for ensuring that factory is permanently covered by the required certifications (GOTS, OEKO-TEX).

The pillars of the FWF are legal contracts, freedom of association, no child labor, no discrimination, safe conditions, freely chosen employment, reasonable hours and a living wage.

This means that wages and benefits paid for a standard working week exceeds legal minimums and/or meet industry standards (if higher). Working hours comply with applicable laws and industry standards, and workers will not be required to work in excess of 48 hours per week. Workers have at least one day off for every seven-day period. A safe and hygienic working environment shall be provided and all workers have the right to form and join trade unions. Child labour, forced and compulsory labour, subcontracting, discrimination and harassment are strictly prohibited. All employees should be made aware of these conditions before they commence their employment and receive a copy of their labour contract.

All factories are equipped with an Effluent Treatment Plant, to avoid excess water consumption.

All rules and regulations are included in the Code of Conduct put together by STAD’s manufacturing partner and the FWF, which all business partners  must fully comply with. If not complied with, business will be ended immediately.

Yes. Our designs are digitally printed with water-based ink and our printing partner is GOTS-approved for the use of these colourants and other textile auxiliaries.

Water-based ink is much more gentle on the environment compared to plastic-based / plastisol ink. Unfortunately though, plastisol ink is still the screen printing industry standard as it’s cheap and ease to use.

Water-based ink does not contain any of the toxic chemicals plastisol ink does, like PVC and phthalates. Instead water-based ink is comprised of naturally occurring substances.

Because it’s water soluble, no specialized chemicals are required for its clean up. This keeps potentially harmful substances out of our waste and water supply.

Another advantage is that the use of water-based ink speeds up the drying and fixation process during printing and therefor saves energy.

Water based inks are only eco-friendly when disposed of responsibly. After use, empty ink cassettes and other waste is safely dropped off at the municipal waste department that is intended for the disposal of products like (water-based) ink.

We try to ship as responsibly as possible.

Our shipping bags contain ReverteTM and are oxo-biodegradable. The ReverteTM additive is activated by natural sunlight. This accelerates catalytic reaction to break bonds at a molecular level and introduce oxygen into the polymer chain, which makes the bag available for biodigestion.

That’s a lot of big words… It basically means our shipping bags will biodegrade in a short period of time, in case this bags would end up anywhere other than a landfill site.

We are not.

The only plastic STAD uses are shipping bags made of at least 50% recycled plastic, that are 100% biodegradable. Meaning that they will safely dissolve in nature if not recycled. We strongly recommend recycling though, at any time! You can read our reasons for choosing these shipping bags in the question above.

The rope on our tags are closed-off by a tiny plastic part. We're looking for better solutions for this that aren't too time-consuming and that aren't easy to unfasten. If you have a suggestion, please contact us at hello@stadwear.com!

Product information & care

- Wash your shirts inside out at 30 degrees Celsius
- Wash with similar colours
- Don't tumble dry
- Iron inside out and don't iron on the print

NOTE: Because the designs are printed with eco-friendly water-based ink, the print tends to fade a little after washing. A sacrifice we made in order to be as sustainable as possible. We personally love it, as it gives the shirts an even more vintage look after a few washes.

Our prices vary between €49,95 - €59,95.

The determination of our prices is mainly based on cost price. Unfortunately, in today’s world sustainable options are the more expensive options.

When it comes to manufacturing, the more you produce, the lower the price. That doesn’t go for STAD though, as we work with limited editions, so small produce.

Going sustainable and exclusive is not the most commercial choice, but it is the logic choice for us personally. And the reason why our prices might be a bit higher than usual prices for (printed) t-shirts.
